When someone hears that I have been to 80 countries, the first question they usually ask me is, “Which country is your favorite?”

I can always find a reason to love a country. I love Italy for its food and architecture, Costa Rica for its jungles, New Zealand for its photogenic perfection, and Bulgaria for its wine and rugged beauty. And Sri Lanka has the best food in the entire world (says me).

If I had to choose only seven, I would be delighted to spend the rest of my life exploring and enjoying my seven all-time favorites.
